Join our dedicated team of maintenance technicians, working everyday to support our mission of providing safe, affordable and accessible homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is not your typical "maintenance" job. Ideal candidates will embrace diverse maintenance demands, specific to maintaining all aspects of home maintenance. The best candidates will have general to advanced knowledge in carpentry, electrical, hvac, plumbing, drywall repair, while completing quarterly preventative maintenance requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting while supporting the ongoing success of our operations.

Duties

• Show up on time, every day, with a can-do attitude. This is a fast-paced work environment that requires an ambitious personality that can adjust daily work demands without frustration; if you lean toward being lazy, please do not apply
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of home issues in assigned work zones and organization-wide, as needed
• Complete daily work orders, understanding how to prioritize workload and ensure efficient use of time; document work completed with technology provided
• Be fiscally responsible in the purchase and use of materials required to do all projects and maintenance
• Knowledge of troubleshooting appliance problems and installation of appliances
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (landscaping) and other tasks, as assigned (painting, replacement/installation of new fixtures, etc.)
• Serve in the On-Call schedule/rotation (stipend provided)
• Maintain truck maintenance, cleanliness, upkeep/oil changes, etc.
• Comfortable with heights and using a ladder in multiple scenarios
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be available at all hours when dealing with weather events at the main campus
• Must be pleasant, friendly and safety-minded, have a valid driver's license, active insurance and pass a background check

Experience

• Proven experience with job duties
• Provide variety of own tools necessary to do assortment of jobs and be familiar with, and comfortable using power tools
• Hands-on experience with equipment repair across various mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigerants a huge plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to address diverse maintenance challenges effectively
