Pharmacist In Charge – Oncology Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Compensation: $75–$114/hr plus $10,000 sign‑on bonus, $20,000 loan repayment, relocation assistance. Responsibilities Perform all principal duties of a Pharmacist‑In‑Charge. Adhere to all federal and state laws regarding dispensing and filling authorized prescription medications and supplies, including receiving, verification, and selection of medication. Dispense medication, supplies, or equipment accurately and efficiently. Compound medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain 100% accuracy in measurements and dose calculations. Maintain proper documentation and logs for compounding. Ensure compliance with regulations in dispensing control and non‑controlled substances, including proper record‑keeping and documentation. Provide direction to technical staff and support staff. Guide, direct, and train pharmacy technicians and clerks. Assume responsibility for quantity and quality of work. Assist Employee Pharmacy customers with insurance issues, obtaining prior authorizations and contacting physicians or other health providers on potential therapeutic interchanges. Maintain knowledge of and facilitate third‑party insurance processes, including prior authorization, medication formularies, wellness programs, coupons, discounts, workers' compensation, and other payment sources, and member enrollment and eligibility. Provide consultation services regarding medication utilization and safety for both prescription and over‑the‑counter medications in accordance with California State Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Consult with other health‑care providers, information resources, and payers to optimize therapy and maximize safety. Provide cognitive services for disease management and wellness programs. Implement programs such as assessments, care planning, monitoring, including lab evaluation, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and compliance. Provide in‑service training to other healthcare providers, staff, and the public when appropriate. Maintain records and reporting in accordance with California State Board of Pharmacy prescription records, electronic records, and faxes. Utilize cycle counting and other inventory management tools and strategies. Be responsible for annual physical inventory. Assist pharmacy administration in process improvement and quality initiatives and processes. Report any dispensing, medication errors, or HIPAA violations in accordance with organization policies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
