Electronics Technician

Electronics TechnicianWe are seeking a hands-on Electronics Technician to support engineering and testing activities. This role involves electronic component repair, troubleshooting, test equipment operation, harness fabrication, mechanical assembly, and documentation of test assets and controllers.Key ResponsibilitiesSolder and replace small electronic components, including surface-mount devices (0805, 0402, and similar packages).Perform hot air rework and reflow repairs, including IC replacement.Assist engineers in diagnosing and root-causing failed electrical components and assemblies.Operate bench lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, load boxes, and flash/programming tools.Design, build, and repair wire harnesses as required.Build and maintain test boxes, breakout boards, and other test fixtures.Assemble and disassemble electronic controllers using common hand tools.Manage multiple controllers and projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate status documentation.Follow established quality, safety, and testing procedures.SkillsElectronics, Soldering, Hot Air Reflow, IC replacement, Root Cause Failure Analysis, bench lab equipment, power supplies, oscilloscope, load boxes, flash tools, wire harnesses, build test boxes, breakout boards, documentation, Assembly, Electrical, Troubleshooting, PCB, Test equipment, schematic, PCB inspectionsTechnical Skills PreferredCan follow Schematic MarkupPrinted circuit board (PCB) check out and visual inspectionsExperience with hot air reflow (e.g. IC replacement)Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
