Assistant Corporate Controller

Assistant Corporate ControllerConstruction client has a newly created permanent opportunity for an Assistant Corporate Controller. The position is new with a promotion track to Corporate Controller. Company has projects nationally and is recognized as an industry leader in their sector. The Assistant Corporate Controller, reporting to the Corporate Controller, help lead the daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role is responsible for GAAP compliance, tax requirements, regulations, and presenting financial insights to support strategic leadership decisions.Approximate Base Salary of $170,000 – $225,000 + Bonus, depending on experienceResponsibilities of the Assistant Corporate Controller:Review consolidated financial statements and management reportsAssist with ME/QE/YE close processesEstablish/maintain internal controls and accounting proceduresEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesAssist Controller, internal and external resources with audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reportingAssist the CFO and departments with budgeting, forecasting, and providing analysisAssist with cash flow management and forecastingOversee Accounting Managers and their teams including GL and AP teamsMentor staff, providing leadership supportLead, evaluate and implement systems and process improvementsIdeal Experience for the Assistant Corporate Controller Role:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferredProgressive accounting experience, with strong examples of leading and mentoring teamsConstruction, engineering, industrial services, manufacturing or related industry experienceWIP and job costingStrong systems experience, ERP SoftwareExcellent presentation skillsHighlights of the Assistant Corporate Controller position:Promotion track to ControllerHealth, Vision, Dental, life, disability Insurance, 401K, PTOCompany is seeing strong national growth
