How you make a difference

The RN Travel supports patient care delivery through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the supervision of Charge Nurses. This role involves administering medications, assisting in diagnostic tests, documenting care, and supporting surgical procedures as needed. The nurse ensures compliance with safety protocols, medication handling, and clinical documentation standards. They participate in care planning, emergency response, and interdisciplinary communication. The role requires 100% travel to various locations to fulfill staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and treatment plans under supervision of Charge Nurse

• Administer medications, perform EKGs, and assist with procedures

• Maintain accurate documentation in SOAP format and review medical records

• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and infection control protocols

• Travel full-time to different healthcare facilities as staffing needs require

Additional Details

Location: Must live in the Denver, CO area, with travel required to detention centers at Arapahoe, Douglas, Weld, and occasionally Elbert County. ** Experience: Preferred qualifications include at least 2 years of experience in corrections or emergency medicine. ** Shifts: 4+ night shifts per month requirement which includes one weekend, and one major and one minor holiday throughout the year. ** Scheduling: Schedules will be planned one month in advance but may require flexibility for last-minute assignments based on immediate needs. ** Benefits: Mileage or gas reimbursement provided for travel between sites. **Positive Attitude is a must! ** Deadline to apply to this position is June 30th, 2026. Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

EXPERIENCE

• One (1) or more years clinic experience preferred

• Must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the states of practice and the state in which you work, or a valid compact state nurse license

• Current CPR certification
