We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.Be the backbone of Atlassian’s Agentic AI Integration Products : The Agentic AI Integrations team is responsible for the industry-leading Rovo MCP Server, Agent to Agent integrations as well as on the mission to catapult Atlassian value by leveraging cutting-edge AI capabilities like Claude Skills, ChatGPT/Claude Apps etc., essentially we will be working on anything and everything with AI integrations into the Atlassian ecosystem.Knack to work on bleeding-edge AI technologies: Passionate to explore and learn AI transformative technologies and quickly pivot from prototyping new initiatives to building highly-scalable enterprise-grade AI products that will be used by 1000s of developers and enterprise users.System mindset and Technical acumen-ship: Systems thinking mindset with attention to security, scalability, reliability and maintainability. Experience driving technical decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments Responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership: Build, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers.Technical Strategy: Deliver foundational components for multi-agent systems and lead the adoption of protocols like MCP and A2A.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Platform, and Data Science teams to embed AI capabilities across Atlassian.Operational Excellence: Maintain high-reliability services (4 9s SLA) while optimizing for cost and latency.Industry Influence: Contribute to open specifications and represent Atlassian in AI interoperability working groups.RequirementsExperience: 8-10+ years in software development with at least 4+ years in people management.AI Expertise: Hands-on experience with AI/ML platform engineering, model serving, or agent frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, etc.).Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go.Systems Thinking: Experience with high-scale distributed systems, vector databases, and observability pipelines. Pay Ranges In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
