Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist I

The primary function of this position is to provide claims' advocacy for our clients and Business Managers. The ideal candidate will have exemplary customer service abilities, a keen eye for detail and a strong organizational mindset. Armed with expertise and empathy, you will be responsible for managing and processing claims for our clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a superior service. You will be expected to manage a caseload of claims, which will include reviewing documentation and insurance policies and bring claims to a resolution in a satisfactory and timely manner. You will maintain detailed and accurate claim files in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The SWCCS will collaborate with internal teams, management and insurance carriers, as necessary to facilitate claim resolution. • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• You will be expected to work with the Claims' Team Leader to assist with general daily duties which may include:
• Determining claim liabilities, value, and service provider fees, subrogation matters.
• Assisting and facilitating the appropriate service partner to defend insured and quantify liability and damages.
• Notifying insurers when a file exceeds specific criteria set by each insurer (such as cost, claim type, or complexity) to keep insurers briefed on what Claims may be of high concern to them.
• Developing final reports summarizing lifecycle of a claim, such responding to loss requests.
• Monitoring claim files and obtain routine status updates, including providing regular status updates to service teams. Respond to requests for updates or questions form the services team or clients in a timely manner.
• Pursue programs for personal and professional development.
• Collaborating with the Claims' Team to maintain a professional and successful department contributing to the organization's overall success.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• College Degree preferred (high school diploma is required).
• 10+ years of experience in property and casualty claims.
• Property & Casualty license preferred.
• Proficient MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Applied EPIC AMS knowledge preferred.
