Material Handler II$17.39–$18.20 per hourJob SummaryThe Material Handler II performs duties as needed within the department, with the primary responsibility of processing customer orders for shipment. This position works closely with inventory personnel, materials buyers and planners, expediters, master schedulers, quality control, management, carriers, and corporate personnel.Job ResponsibilitiesProcess customer shipments and manual shipments (B-tickets).Analyze order holds and communicate with Customer Service.Analyze inventory availability, including location and quantity, for shipments.Release sales orders to pick status.Monitor sales orders that have been picked but not shipped.Maintain shipping records in accordance with the Emerson record retention policy.Coordinate freight schedules for small package, will-call, LTL, and TL shipments.Follow up with appropriate personnel on customer orders that are allocated but not picked.Provide shipping documents to Customer Service as requested.Act as a liaison between Customer Service and shipping activities, coordinating weights, dimensions, shipping methods, and related requirements.Request or create commercial invoices for international shipments as needed.Monitor shipping supplies and maintain adequate inventory.Assist with Material Handling responsibilities as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Work overtime as required.
