Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary The Maintenance Technician performs diagnostic evaluations and repairs on hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery-powered tools, hoists, and hot sticks, ensuring all equipment meets quality and safety standards. Splice fiber-optic cable drops Conduct inspections and perform diagnostic evaluations of tools Identify parts required to repair tools Assist in preparing tool repair estimates for customers and placing orders for repair parts Repair tools and perform quality control tests of repaired items Build custom rope products and ground sets Perform high-voltage testing Accurately enter data into computer systems and maintain required documentation Maintain a positive attitude and foster strong working relationships with customers and coworkers Minimum Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude Experience repairing hydraulic systems or tools Knowledge of safety practices and procedures Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience repairing mechanical, battery, electric, and gas-powered tools Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Why work for Irby?
