Branch Executive, Northeast Region - NYC Area

Description We are seeking an experienced Branch Executive for our Northeast Territory – Greater NYC Area. As a Branch Executive, you will represent the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Commercial Insurance brand across all segments—Major Accounts, Middle Market, and Specialty (including Ironshore US). You will build and nurture key retail broker relationships across the Northeast market, collaborate with GRS segment leaders to drive strategic alignment, deepen broker partnerships, and create a best‑in‑class experience for our broker network. Only candidates residing within the Greater NYC area will be considered. The role requires regular in‑person visits with local brokers and agents; remote hires outside the territory are not possible. Responsibilities Understand GRS underwriting appetite and business strategy and articulate it in the marketplace. Build mutually beneficial relationships with brokers in the assigned region and drive profitable growth. Develop broker‑ and client‑facing marketing communications plans, including events. Structure and lead cross‑sell initiatives aligned with regional growth plans and market opportunities. Prospect and develop new broker relationships and identify new areas of opportunity. Collaborate with GRS strategy, peers, business and Regional Distribution Executive to develop strategies supporting GWP, new business, submission and retention targets. Drive internal collaboration, encouraging an environment focused on shared GRS success. Maintain close relations with business leaders and underwriting organization, ensuring clear communication channels and informing executive management of concerns or opportunities. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant insurance industry experience. Underwriting experience. Strong relationships with senior leadership at key brokerages. Deep understanding of product offerings and the ability to work with profit‑center leadership. Business development and sales skills. Leadership skills – ability to influence without authority and foster trusted relationships. People‑management skills – nurturing professional growth and fostering team effectiveness.
