Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Automated Material Handling Equipment Maintenance Technician Location: Northern Vermont (on-site, manufacturing facility) Employment Type: Full Time Shifts: 12-hour line-support shifts: 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am About the Opportunity Our client, a leading advanced manufacturer with a major production facility in northern Vermont, is hiring experienced Automated Material Handling (AMHS) Maintenance Technicians to support the equipment that transports product carriers throughout the facility: including overhead transport systems, storage/retrieval systems, conveyors, and sorters. This hands-on maintenance role is critical to keeping a 24/7 production environment running. What You'll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated material handling equipment (overhead transport rail systems, storage systems, vehicles, conveyors) Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related equipment failures in a fast-paced production environment Respond to equipment down events to minimize production impact Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals Perform equipment calibrations, adjustments, and component replacements Document maintenance activity, parts usage, and equipment history in a CMMS Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment improvements and recurring issue resolution Follow all safety and controlled-environment protocols Requirements 2+ years maintaining automated material handling, robotics, conveyor, or similar automated production equipment (advanced/high-precision manufacturing environments preferred) Working knowledge of PLCs, servo/motor controls, and industrial networking a plus Experience with CMMS/maintenance tracking systems Prior experience in controlled-environment (cleanroom-type) manufacturing is a strong plus but not required Associate degree or technical certificate in mechatronics, electronics, or industrial maintenance preferred Comfortable working in a controlled/gowned environment Work Environment Controlled environment (gowned) facility Rotating/shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends Physical requirements: standing, walking, climbing, and working at heights/on lifts as needed Pay: $34/hr depending on experience This is a full time position in Vermont. #J-18808-Ljbffr WMFHA
