Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care

Day shift: 0645 to 1915, scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. 24 hours of operation Monday through Friday.

Progressive Care Unit; 15 bed unit, including 3 step down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds.

Active State license required by the start of the assignment.

At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.

Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.

ACLS certification preferred.

Current PALS certification preferred.

NIHSS certification preferred.

Experience with Meditech charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring.

Primary nursing care.

Telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading.

Fingerstick blood sugar testing.

Floating to other acute units as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER.
