Read on to learn more!The Material Handler role is responsible for operating a forklift to collect, stack, and deliver a wide variety of materials within the production plant to support assigned team.What You'll be DoingDemonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.Identifies material types and practice proper disposal of scrap.Operates the following equipment associated with material handling: radios, scanners, trash compacter, and cardboard bailer.Maintains a clean and orderly area ensuring that; aisle ways are clear, part racks are organized, parts are stocked in posted locationsFills out daily check list and completes visual inspections.Keeps supplies adequately stocked for team's daily needs.Responds to team request in timely manner.Understands how to correctly use the following functions within JDE programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.)Utilizes all programs for communication of supply needs in department.Models Team Member Expected Behaviors and Henny Penny core valuesOther duties as assignedWhat You Need For This PositionHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent experienceMust be at least 18 years of age1- 3 years of experience in material handling or operating a forkliftForklift Certification requiredCrane license required for Punch Cell rolesAbility to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.Ability to multitask and prioritize internal customer needsEffective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.Ability to problem solve and troubleshootKnowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosBasic computer skillsMust be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable)About UsWe're known in our industry for making the best commercial food equipment in the world.
