2nd Shift Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Metals Processing

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for second shift at their Salt Lake City facility. The role leads process improvements and operational excellence in regulated medical device manufacturing, working with cross-functional teams to optimize yield, capacity, and compliance for implantable component production.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing improvement initiatives for yield stabilization, process capability, and cost reduction
• Identify and implement process optimization opportunities using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies
• Serve as technical expert for manufacturing processes, equipment, and associated technologies
• Design, execute, and analyze engineering studies, validations, and equipment qualifications
• Support regulatory compliance, internal audits, investigations, and corrective action resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific field with 4+ years experience
• Master's degree in engineering or scientific field with 3+ years experience
• PhD in engineering or scientific field with industry experience
• Lean Six Sigma belt certification preferred
• FDA-regulated manufacturing or medical device industry experience preferred
• Proficiency with DOE, SPC, process capability analysis, and statistical methods
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, CAPA systems, and change control processes
