Order Fulfillment Specialist - Schuyler, NY

Direct Hire, Full Time

2 openings for Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

and

1 opening for Monday-Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm

With overtime as needed.

Pay Rate: $18.75

A local company is seeking an Order Fulfillment Specialist for their Schuyler Distribution Center to support their growing warehouse and manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the facility manager, the Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for the picking and packing of orders for multiple customers in an accurate and timely manner using technology to help expedite the process.


What You'll Do:

The below describes a typical day as a member of our warehouse and production facilities, but additional responsibilities may be required by the facility manager.

1. Perform daily forklift inspections and report deficiencies to facility manager
2. Operate equipment in a safe manner at all times.
3. Be able to use on a daily basis inventory management software on a tablet or scanner to move inventory throughout the facility and to pick products from warehouse stock for orders
4. Be able to properly and safely stack or place raw materials and finished products in racking or designated stack zones.
5. Ensure product being stored or loaded for transport is in saleable condition or properly secured to a pallet for storage
6. Ensure product being shipped and stored is properly identified with either shipping tags or storage tags
7. Build, wrap and transport pallets and packages throughout the warehouse
8. Be able to use a pallet jack or hand truck as needed
9. Be able to shrink wrap pallets using a stretch wrap machine or by hand
10. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and warehouse daily
11. Work as assigned on special projects as needed
12. Participate in annual inventory
13. Perform other warehouse operation tasks as needed and directed

Who You Are:

1. You are at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a warehouse setting
2. Warehouse lift equipment experience a plus
3. Must be computer literate. Knowledge of warehouse tablets and scanners a plus
4. Must be able to communicate, read and write in English
5. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
6. Be a self starter with strong attention to detail, safety and be able to prioritize and adapt to daily tasks
7. Must work well with others in a team setting and follow directions from supervisors
8. Must have a strong attendance record
