About the role We're looking for a Tax Accountant to join the team. Tax prep is the core of the job, but this isn't a back‑office position. You'll be talking to clients, building relationships, and growing into a regular point of contact for your accounts. Good fit for someone with 1-4 years of experience in accounting or public accounting who wants to build a tax career with real client exposure. What you'll do Tax preparation: Prepare individual (1040) and business returns (1120, 1120‑S, 1065) Gather and organize client documents; follow up on missing info Prepare workpapers, supporting schedules, and reconciliations Categorize transactions and reconcile accounts in QuickBooks Online Client accounting: Support monthly close: bookkeeping, journal entries, financial statements Communicate with clients on routine tax and accounting items Grow into a primary point of contact for assigned clients over time What we're looking for 1-4 years of experience in accounting, tax, or public accounting Exposure to individual and/or business tax return preparation Comfortable in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Lacerte tax software is a plus CPA or EA track preferred - we'll support you Detail-oriented, organized, meets deadlines without being chased Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Public accounting or CPA firm background is a strong plus.
