The role requires experience in hospital clinical laboratory settings. Candidates should have expertise in 24-hour urine testing, cardiac enzymes, hormone/thyroid testing, and immunoassays. Therapeutic drug monitoring experience is essential. Knowledge of controls and direct patient laboratory testing is required. Responsibilities include specimen collection, accessioning, and quality assurance. The position may involve working in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, serology, and limited microbiology. Candidates must be proficient in manual differential counts and sedimentation rates. Ability to identify crystals and perform manual urinalysis is necessary. Must demonstrate good communication skills for interdisciplinary support. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient diagnostics. Experience in a blood bank setting is a crucial requirement. This position may require adaptability and teamwork within a clinical laboratory context. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as necessary. Refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours and assignment continuity.
