Assistant/Associate Professor of Physics

Tenure Track Associate/Assistant Professor of Physics A nine-month Tenure Track Associate/Assistant Professor of Physics will teach undergraduate physics courses, conduct research, and provide service to the department for the enhancement of the program. Job Duties & Responsibilities Teach physics and introductory mathematics courses. Write grant proposals and submit to Federal, state, and/or private agencies. Involve undergraduate students in research activities. Work with students to place them in summer research internships and to seek admissions to graduate schools or job opportunities. Involve in the advisement process of the department and recruit students for the department. Perform other duties assigned by the department such as serving in various departmental and university-wide committees. Qualifications Minimum: Ph.D. in Physics Teaching experience at university level Proficient in computer skills Ability to use stand-alone or web-based courseware and other teaching tools. Preferred: Those with additional qualifications to also teach mathematics courses and research experience in quantum information sciences will be given preference.
