Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Duration: 11/02/2026 - 01/30/2027
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Schedule: 40 hrs/week, 5x8; on-call required; weekends/holidays on-call only; no floating required
Pay Rate: $70-$75/hr.

Requirements

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a busy hospital setting

Preferred Experience

2+ years Nuclear Medicine experience

Required Education

High School Diploma/GED
Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology

Required Licensure & Certifications

Valid NJDEP License
ARRT or NMTCB Registry
BLS - American Heart Association

Required Skills

General Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Studies, Organ Imaging, Function Studies

GE Equipment, SPECT, SPECT/CT, Therapeutic Use of Radioisotopes, Radiation Protection, Radiopharmaceuticals, Radioactive Tracer Compounds, Radioisotope Receipt/Use/Storage/Disposal, PACS, EPIC, Teletracking System, Nuclear Medicine Information System, Patient Scheduling, Computer Processing Associated with Patient Studies

Responsibilities

Select and operate Nuclear Medicine equipment and provide required immobilization devices.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive tracer compounds.
Perform radionuclide procedures including organ imaging and function studies.
Perform general Nuclear Medicine and cardiac studies; rotate to Cardiology and PET/CT as needed.
Assist physicians with therapeutic use of radioisotopes under prescribed safety conditions.
Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides.
Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages according to state and NRC guidelines.
Maintain records for radioisotope receipt, use, storage and disposal.
Evaluate images through PACS for proper identification and diagnostic quality.
Maintain radiation protection, contamination-free conditions, equipment cleanliness and safety standards.
Follow NRC, State and JCAHO guidelines/practices.
Use EPIC, Teletracking, Nuclear Medicine Information System and patient scheduling systems for daily clerical and study-processing duties.
Provide patient communication and care according to patient age, culture, language and individual needs.
Participate in scheduled shifts, on-call assignments, weekends/holidays as applicable, and overtime as needed.
