Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in labor, preterm labor, triage, pre-op, post-op, and low-risk antepartum settings across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Circulate and scrub for OB-GYN and gynecological surgeries, and support couplet care and transition nursery as needed
• Attend low-risk and high-risk deliveries, providing skilled intrapartum nursing care
• Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac
• Safely administer high-alert medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Float to Post-Partum or NICU based on unit needs and individual skill set; staffing ratio 1:1–3

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, and drain management
• Experience floating to Post-Partum or NICU environments
