Job Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical history and physical examinations
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions via imaging studies and lab result interpretations
• Work in unison with surgeons to formulate and implement patient-specific surgical treatment protocols
• Support intraoperative activities, preparing surgical suites, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing instruments during surgeries
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, wound care, discharge planning, and offering patient education

Qualifications

• A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focused on surgical practices is highly preferred

Certifications

• Valid and current PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant is essential
