Job Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive vehicle inspections, including Virginia State Safety Inspections, ensuring full compliance with state regulations.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Utilizes advanced diagnostic tools, scan data, and testing procedures to accurately identify root causes.
• Performs repairs across multiple systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and emissions.
• Completes detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with clear documentation, photos, and recommendations.
• Collaborates with service advisors to communicate findings and support proper estimate building.
• Conducts test drives to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and follows shop safety procedures.
• Keeps up to date with industry advancements, tools, and diagnostic strategies.
• Takes ownership of work quality and efficiency, ensuring jobs are completed correctly the first time.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Virginia State Safety Inspector License (not Required).
• Strong diagnostic experience (high-level troubleshooting required).
• Experience with both gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Minimum 3–5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Proficiency with scan tools, electrical testing, and modern vehicle systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
