Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in a Medical/Surgical setting
• Perform thorough and accurate patient assessments and maintain detailed documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
• Function independently while managing a Medical/Surgical patient caseload
• Respond rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Maine
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills
• Proficiency with healthcare computer systems and electronic medical records
• Ability to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a critical access or rural hospital environment
• Familiarity with Maine State nursing standards and regulations
