Case Manager/PAP

Amgen seeks a Case Manager for its Patient Access Program to help patients navigate insurance coverage and financial assistance for medications. The role involves coordinating with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to remove barriers to therapy access and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance benefits and resolve copay, prior authorization, and reimbursement issues
- Handle inbound and outbound calls from healthcare providers and patients with empathetic engagement
- Enter patient data into systems accurately and maintain high data integrity
- Coordinate with pharmacies to expedite positive patient experiences and therapy access
- Track and analyze reimbursement trends to identify improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years customer service/call center experience
- Associate's degree with 6 years customer service/call center experience, or high school diploma with 8 years experience
- Minimum 6 months experience with patient support programs (AS+ or Tezspire Together HUB)
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience working with commercial and government insurance payors preferred
- Knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy operations, and healthcare regulations preferred
