Exciting opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist interested in supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities in a vibrant educational environment. This contract role runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and offers a chance to make a lasting impact within a diverse PreK-12 caseload. The position is full-time, with a commitment of 37.5 hours each week.
Candidates should have the expertise and compassion to guide students, collaborate with educators, and help develop individualized plans that foster academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid and current School Psychologist licensure in Nevada (NV)
- Experience providing services to students with moderate to severe disabilities is highly valued
- Previous school-based experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students, focusing on supporting those with moderate to severe disabilities
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and help create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to promote students’ educational and personal growth
- Support positive behavioral interventions and restorative practices in the school community
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to state regulations and school policies
