Preservation Architect

We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have experience in historic preservation and restoration projects, as well as a strong understanding of building codes and regulations. The Preservation Architect will be responsible for managing the design, planning, and implementation of preservation projects from start to finish. Responsibilities Conduct site visits and assessments to determine the condition of historic buildings Develop preservation plans and proposals that comply with building codes and regulations Collaborate with clients, contractors, and preservation experts to develop project goals and objectives Create detailed architectural drawings and plans for preservation projects Oversee the restoration process ensuring that all work is completed according to plan and within budget Conduct research on historic building materials and techniques to inform restoration efforts Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress Provide guidance and support to junior architects and interns working on preservation projects Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience working on historic preservation projects Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and historic preservation guidelines Proficiency in architectural drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills English fluency is required for effective communication with clients Salary Salary: $1400 per month, depending on experience.
