Job Summary An Automotive Retail Salesperson assists customers throughout the vehicle purchasing process, from initial contact to final delivery. This role focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering a transparent, compliant, and high-quality buying experience. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and assist in-person and online Identify customer needs and recommend vehicles Conduct product presentations and test drives Explain features, warranties, and add-ons Complete sales transactions and documentation Follow California compliance laws (DMV, TILA, etc.) Meet sales goals and maintain customer relationships Collaborate with F&I and dealership staff Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid California driver’s license Ability to obtain CA Vehicle Salesperson License Sales or customer service experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Sales and negotiation ability Customer-focused mindset Basic computer proficiency Problem-solving skills Compensation & Benefits Base hourly pay plus commission/bonuses Health, dental, vision insurance Paid vacation PTO and sick leave (per CA law) 401(k) options Work Environment Indoor showroom and outdoor lot Weekend and evening shifts required Fast-paced sales environment Physical Demands Prolonged standing and walking Frequent bending, reaching, crouching Repeated entering/exiting vehicles Sitting for driving/test drives Lift/carry up to 25 pounds Operate computers and vehicle controls Work in varying weather conditions Visual and hearing ability for communication #J-18808-Ljbffr
