Location Avera Queen of Peace Hospital Position Type Regular Shift Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range $35.50 - $53.75 (actual pay dependent upon experience) Sign‑On Bonus / Student Loan Repayment May be eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. This position is also eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program: a monthly payment of $167 (up to $10,000) to help pay down the principal faster. A Brief Overview Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of physical therapy services implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and established objectives of the department. What you will do Evaluate assigned patients, gathering data from a variety of sources such as patient records, interviews, observation, and team members. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for patients needing services. Use selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health, achieve treatment goals, and modify intervention and strategies based on ongoing evaluation. Provide direct therapy services in various functional settings, planning within the patient’s physical, emotional and intellectual capabilities and coordinating with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans. Prepare documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress notes, and other reports as required by the profession and department. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other disciplinary team members regarding status, progress, and needs. Establish rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members throughout the intervention program. Enhance professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature, in‑service meetings, workshops, and similar activities. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the specified hours. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Active license as a Physical Therapist from the state licensing board (upon hire). Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years experience as a licensed physical therapist.
