HVAC Technician

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work Serve as the direct customer contact for assigned projects Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business requires Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets Record asset use, wear, and conditions Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical School or formal training preferred Typically 5 plus years of experience in commercial HVAC Proficiency with chilled water systems Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software Working proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years EPA Certification Ability to work overtime and weekends, including occasional overnight stays Ability to meet safety-sensitive role requirements, including additional drug screening if required Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning HVAC systems in commercial environments, with a strong focus on customer service and safety compliance. Proficient in using technology and tools to diagnose and repair equipment while coordinating effectively with project teams.
