Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Respiratory Therapist providing compassionate, patient-centered care. This role involves delivering respiratory services under physician orders, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients.

Job Summary

Plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain efficient operations and a positive work environment, supporting the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely and compassionate respiratory care, assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results to develop treatment plans.
• Administer medically prescribed respiratory therapies, including bronchopulmonary drainage, breathing exercises, and monitoring physiological responses.
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Participate in discharge planning and educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and assistive equipment.
• Contribute to policy development, protocol implementation, and staff training within the respiratory therapy department.
• Engage in teamwork, foster trust, and support ongoing learning and development.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program.
• Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current unrestricted state respiratory care practitioner license.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required upon hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required within one year.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills.
• Ability to assess patient needs and adjust treatments accordingly across all age groups.
• Proficient with respiratory therapy equipment and technology, including electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with healthcare teams and patients.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate leadership.

Physical Requirements

Includes frequent lifting and carrying of equipment up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range with or without corrective devices.
