Positions are available throughout our service area of Metro Detroit.The certified home health aide/certified nursing assistant is a paraprofessional member of the home health care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.The home health aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a patient’s care.QualificationsMedicare-certified home health aide certificationCertified home health aide (required)ResponsibilitiesProvide health care services in patient's residencesAdminister simple prescribed medicationsAssist with client’s personal care activitiesMonitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their conditionMaintain patient care records and document provided servicesAssist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercisesInstruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exerciseCollect routine specimensProvide companionship and basic emotional or psychological supportSkillsProven working experience as a licensed home health care aideAbility to monitor vital signs and to collect specimensFamiliarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standardsNursing and health care administration skillsCaring and compassionate personalityCurrent CPR certificateFirst aid trainingValid driver’s licenseHigh school degreeJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $25.00 - $30.00 per visitBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:Weekend availability
