CT Technologist – Emergency Department (Night Shift, Full Time) This full-time night shift CT Technologist role in the Emergency Department supports continuous 24/7 CT coverage in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital setting. The position focuses on performing CT imaging exams for emergency patients while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely collaboration with clinical teams. Responsibilities Perform CT imaging examinations in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment with consistently high patient volumes. Ensure patient safety at all times, including correct patient identification, appropriate screening, and monitoring during CT procedures. Position patients accurately and comfortably to obtain high-quality diagnostic images according to established protocols. Operate CT imaging equipment and related imaging software in strict compliance with departmental and hospital protocols. Prepare and administer contrast media as appropriate, following all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Collaborate closely with Emergency Department physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to prioritize and complete exams efficiently. Accurately document all procedures, patient information, and contrast administration in the designated documentation systems. Maintain radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and self, following ALARA principles and regulatory requirements. Adhere to infection control policies and procedures in all aspects of patient care and equipment handling. Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any malfunctions or safety concerns. Support smooth workflow in the ER CT department by managing exam priorities and working independently during night shifts. Contribute to a trusted hospital environment by providing professional, compassionate, and timely patient care. Essential Skills Registered or registry-eligible CT Technologist qualification. Current state licensure and certifications as required for CT practice. Demonstrated ability to perform CT imaging exams in an Emergency Department or high-volume CT setting. Strong ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts. Proficiency in operating CT imaging equipment and imaging software. Solid understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control standards. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate imaging, documentation, and patient identification. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with physicians, radiologists, nursing staff, and patients. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in an Emergency Department CT environment is preferred. Experience working in a high-volume CT department is highly beneficial. Familiarity with hospital documentation systems and electronic recordkeeping. Ability to remain calm and focused while managing multiple urgent imaging requests. Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to supporting clinical partners. Commitment to maintaining a trusted, patient-centered care environment. Work Environment This is an on-site, full-time night shift position in a busy hospital Emergency Department CT unit. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with consistently high imaging volumes. You will use modern CT imaging equipment, imaging software, and electronic documentation systems while adhering to strict radiation safety and infection control standards. The setting requires close collaboration with emergency physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to provide timely diagnostic imaging for patients requiring urgent care. Job Type & Location Permanent position based in Tulsa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year. Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k).
