Position Overview:

We are seeking an Overhead Door Technician responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of a wide range of commercial systems, including:

• Sectional overhead doors
• Rolling steel doors
• High-speed doors
• Sliding doors and operable partitions
• Dock levelers and gate operators

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy mechanical work, problem-solving, and working in dynamic job site environments.

What You'll Do

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial overhead door and dock systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and other equipment as needed
• Safely load, unload, and transport materials to job sites
• Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
• Represent Lensing professionally at customer locations

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction trades
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime and occasional weekends
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain required certifications within 60 days:
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • ARSC Certification
  • "For Hire" endorsement

Preferred Experience:

• Commercial overhead door installation or service experience
• ARC/MIG welding and metal fabrication
• PLC systems (ladder logic)
• Relay logic circuits and 3-phase 480V systems
