Job Title and Unit Unit Coordinator & Monitor Tech – 4200 Telemetry Unit, Bethesda North Hospital Requisition ID: 309009 Location: Bethesda North Hospital – 10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242 Job Type: Full-Time Days – 6:30am to 7:00pm Overview The 4200 Telemetry Unit is a specialized, stroke-certified unit offering expert care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. This 38-bed unit provides treatment for patients requiring pre/post cardiac catheterization, management of NSTEMI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and those undergoing structural heart procedures such as TAVR, WATCHMAN, and MitraClip. The unit focuses on continuous cardiac monitoring and supports patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac concerns. It is a stroke-certified unit that emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered care and collaboration with ICUs to support growth in critical care. Responsibilities Maintain proficient knowledge of unit-specific computer applications (e.g., census management, document scanning). Understand and operate equipment specific to the unit. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers; relay accurate and complete information while maintaining confidentiality. Contribute to patient satisfaction through wayfinding, rapid response to call lights and phones, and respectful interactions. Prioritize workload and respond appropriately to emergencies (e.g., Code Blue, Rapid Response, fire, Special Alert). Follow emergency systems and unit/TriHealth policies; perform computer downtime procedures as required. Stay informed about organizational and unit changes and support self-growth and accountability. Monitor responsibilities: observe and interpret central cardiac monitors, maintain logs, recognize emergency rhythms, and notify appropriate personnel within established timeframes. Maintain alarms, troubleshoot issues with clinical engineering when needed, and manage telemetry supplies per unit protocol.
