About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated SUTQ Coordinator to oversee a coordinated approach to child care providers, enhancing the quality of care available to families and the community. This role will involve providing resources, training, and technical assistance/coaching to child care providers to achieve and maintain their Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) ratings. Additionally, the SUTQ Coordinator will serve as the primary source of information for community, parents, and providers seeking to locate and understand quality early care and education.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute strategies to support child care programs in achieving and maintaining Step Up To Quality ratings, navigating a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to meet funder outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with child care programs, identifying their needs and developing action plans to deliver necessary training, resources, and technical assistance to support program quality.
  • Collaborate with community partners and statewide organizations to raise awareness of the community, child care industry, and needs of children and parents.
  • Take a leadership role in advocating for quality child care by convening and attending stakeholder meetings with providers, licensing specialists, and community members.
  • Lead the provider services team as a team leader, coordinating agency-wide teaming, communication, support, and resources to support each provider's individual action plan goals.
  • Develop and motivate the team to achieve annual team goals and continuously challenge them to strive for excellence.
  • Promote the CCRC mission, vision, and impact within local communities, sharing the organization's efforts and accomplishments with a broader audience.
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor and identify innovative strategies to challenge the team to excel.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering professional development and adult learning; Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Undergraduate studies in early childhood education or social service.
  • Eligible to be approved by OCCRRA to deliver training that meets Ohio Approval and able to become proficient in required screening/assessment tools, training modules, child care licensing system, and SUTQ.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team leader and team member, and to coordinate/conduct small group sessions, the agency’s implementation of contracts, recruitment, data entry, reporting, and analyzing data.
  • Reliable transportation required and valid driver’s license in Ohio; a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and organization skills to relate to a broad spectrum of community organizations, funders, and child care providers.
  • Ability to coordinate the agencies; implementation of contracts, recruitment, data entry, reporting and analyzing data; and to become proficient in required screening/assessment tools, training modules, child care licensing system and SUTQ.

  • Prior experience and knowledge of Ohio’s quality rating system.

Benefits

  • Fulltime position- 40 hours a week, some evenings or weekends may be required

  • Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
