Elevate Employment Success Specialist (College of Education)

NC State University is hiring an Elevate Employment Success Specialist for the College of Education. The role involves providing direct employment coaching and vocational instruction to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting their employment skill development and workplace integration in campus and community settings. The specialist collaborates with faculty, staff, and employment coaches to guide students and monitor progress through data collection and planning. Highlights Provide individualized and small-group employment support to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in authentic work environments. Help students develop workplace, communication, social, and independent living skills. Collaborate with peer coaches, employment coaches, faculty, and program staff to enhance student engagement and independence. Organize and enter qualitative and quantitative student data aligned with program protocols for progress monitoring and coaching strategies. Assist with training and ongoing support for employment and peer coaches. Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Special Education, Disability Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Higher Education focused on disability access. Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning, direct instruction, person-centered planning, and vocational rehabilitation services is preferred. Valid North Carolina driver's license required. Anticipated hiring salary range: $50,000 - $55,000 per year; position is full-time (1.0 FTE), standard business hours with some flexibility.
