Housekeeper / Laundry Aide

Job Title: Housekeeper / Laundry Aide Location: Wellspring Skilled Nursing & Rehab - Frankenmuth Reports to: Environmental Services Manager Position Type: Part-Time | Hourly Applications accepted through July 1, 2026. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors, supporting the health and wellbeing of everyone on campus through high-quality housekeeping and laundry services. Responsibilities Follow cleaning schedules in accordance with Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling, and cleaning agent use policies and procedures. Clean assigned areas, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, trash cans, furnishings and fixtures such as furniture, floors, walls, sills, closets and doors, according to established housekeeping procedures. Empty wastebaskets in bathrooms, resident rooms and common areas as directed, replacing with a clean plastic bag and one extra bag at the bottom of the wastebasket. Clean general common areas, dining spaces, offices and employee areas according to the assignment schedule. Cross-trained to assist with laundry department as needed. Note: Tasks marked with an asterisk in the full job description are considered high-risk for exposure to bio-hazardous materials. Standard Precautions must be followed in all job duties. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Prior housekeeping or laundry experience (preferred but not required). Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols. Reliable, detail-oriented and committed to teamwork. Compassion for seniors and a dedication to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
