Automation/Controls Engineer

Automation Engineer Location: Concord, NC Employment type: Long-Term Contract Overview Seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support and maintain control systems for Fill/Finish and Formulation processes in a regulated pharma environment. The role focuses on Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, and GMP-compliant automation systems. Key Responsibilities Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Rockwell and FactoryTalk/View HMIs. Support production and utilities automation for filling, capping, and formulation equipment. Lead or assist in system upgrades, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations. Develop and maintain FDS/SDS documentation and execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation. Ensure compliance with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, QA, Validation) to resolve automation issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Electrical, Automation, or related engineering discipline. Automation experience in the pharma or biotech industry. Strong experience with Rockwell Automation (ControlLogix, FactoryTalk, PanelView). Hands‑on experience with Fill/Finish and Formulation systems. Working knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5, and automation validation.
