- # Nuclear Medicine TechnologistApply: Johnson City, NY: Posted Today: R0000016486# **Position Overview**The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the ordering, preparation, and administration of radiopharmaceutical materials to patients. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates gamma equipment or thyroid uptake and probe for the visualization for both the structure and function of major organ systems within the body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist utilizes knowledge of radiation physics and safety in the preparation, measurement, and administration of isotopes.**Primary Department, Division, or Unit:**Diagnostic Imaging, UHS Wilson Medical Center**Primary Work Shift:**Day Rotational**Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours:**40**Compensation Range:**$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience-----**Education/Experience**Minimum Required:* Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Nuclear MedicinePreferred:* Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine.****License/Certification****Minimum Required:* NYS Radiologic Technologist license in Nuclear Medicine AND NMTCB or ARRT(N) eligible* NMTCB or ARRT(N) certified within 6 months of hirePreferred:* Not Applicable-----# **Why You’ll Love Working at UHS**At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
