The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 individuals and encompasses Manchester Memorial Hospital, a community facility with 249 beds, Rockville General, a 102-bed campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. This region caters to approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Using the nursing process, you will deliver high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate patient care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. It is essential to communicate the patient’s clinical status appropriately, responding swiftly and accurately to any changes in condition or treatment response. You will demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan and possess the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. Additionally, you will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school and hold a current license in the State of Connecticut.

• Must possess certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or obtain certification during the introductory orientation period, maintaining clinical competency throughout employment in this role.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.

• Basic computer skills are required.
