Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a 12-room operating room suite serving a Level 3 trauma center
• Function across multiple surgical service lines including general, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, and GYN procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage, with approximately 2 late call shifts per week (until 11:00 PM) and on-call rotation every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols; radiation badge must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to start — the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers
• Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or confirmation of ability to complete the SC walk-through process; clearance to report will not occur until the SC license is active)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting with a well-rounded skill set (general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN)
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at this facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests submitted after the offer stage will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad scope of surgical specialty competency across multiple service lines
• Prior travel nursing experience, though first-time travelers with strong specialty competency will be considered
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
