Occupational Therapist School Setting in Cypress, TX

Key Qualifications:

• Active and current Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Previous experience working in schools strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing an itinerant, districtwide service model
• Ability to serve a caseload of 50-60 students across at least 10 campuses
• Proficiency delivering direct, consultative, and indirect OT services
• Familiarity with billing procedures for Medicare/Medicaid
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site occupational therapy, encompassing assessment, intervention, and documentation
• Travel between multiple campuses to deliver individualized and group sessions
• Consult with teachers and multidisciplinary team members to integrate therapy goals into students' academic environments
• Complete Medicaid/Medicare billing with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain comprehensive records and reports as required by district protocols
• Contribute to IEP meetings, student planning, and progress monitoring
• Adapt services to accommodate a diverse student population, ranging from elementary to high school
