About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate Baker to join our family café in the heart of River Oaks. Rooted in family traditions and recipes passed down through generations, our café is built around the belief that the best food is made with care, quality ingredients, and a little bit of love.

As a Baker, you’ll help bring those traditions to life each day by preparing fresh, made-from-scratch baked goods using our signature family recipes. From carefully measuring and mixing ingredients to baking, finishing, and presenting each item, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the quality and consistency our guests have come to know and love.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake pastries, breads, desserts, and other café favorites according to established family recipes and standards.
• Follow recipes carefully to ensure consistent flavor, texture, appearance, and quality.
• Measure, mix, portion, shape, bake, decorate, and finish products as needed.
• Prepare daily production based on café needs while maintaining freshness and minimizing waste.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, rotation, and sanitation practices.
• Keep bakery equipment, workstations, and preparation areas clean and organized.
• Monitor ingredient levels and communicate product or supply needs to leadership.
• Handle recipes and preparation methods with care, respecting the traditions and standards behind each item.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and café teams to ensure products are ready for daily service.
• Take pride in presentation and ensure every item served reflects the quality of our café.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous baking, pastry, café, restaurant, or culinary experience preferred.
• Comfortable following detailed recipes and established preparation methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple production needs.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move ingredients, supplies, and equipment as required.
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
