Human Resources Business Partner

Robert Half is looking for an experienced and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across a Milwaukee, WI area organization. This role partners closely with management to align human resources strategies with organizational objectives while fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture. The HRBP will provide guidance in employee relations, talent and performance management, employee engagement, workforce planning, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence leaders while balancing employee and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and workforce needs.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations issues, performance concerns, employee development, and workplace best practices.
• Conduct investigations and provide recommendations regarding employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
• Lead and support performance management processes, including coaching managers, facilitating feedback discussions, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Partner with leadership on talent management initiatives including succession planning, workforce planning, and employee development strategies.
• Develop and implement employee engagement programs that enhance retention, productivity, and organizational culture.
• Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Support organizational change management initiatives and communication efforts.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to support hiring and employee growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR Business Partner, Generalist, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, talent development, and employment law.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience interpreting HR metrics and providing strategic recommendations.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
