Clinical Nurse Manager - CNM

The Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. This may include patient care assessment, patient care planning and implementation, and working on patient care quality improvement. This position works in collaboration with the Program Director and the Medical Director to meet the Center’s program objectives and help ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction. All clinicians working in a Healogics Center must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Proficient in all responsibilities related to case management and provide case management to a group of patients according to protocols and procedures. Demonstrate clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management. Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities, and provide clinical oversight to clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, LVNs, CMAs, hyperbaric oxygen technicians, etc.). Collaborate with other health‑care providers, key hospital personnel, wound care center providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs. Identify and implement areas of improvement in processes and procedures, complying with HIPAA, DOH, hospital, and Healogics requirements. Engage in staff development, provide general training as well as individual instruction and orientation; recognize staff through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback. Collaborate with Program Director in coordination of program objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective. If the program provides vein care services, coordinate the vein clinic and assist in providing care as needed following Healogics vein clinic training. Collaborate with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve wound care center quality indicators. May function as a documentation assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics and hospital policies. May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing the required hyperbaric safety director training; may act as chamber operator or emergency chamber operator after training. Perform patient care based on center staffing needs. Perform other duties as required. Required Education, Experience and Credentials Current RN license – to be maintained throughout employment. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. One year experience as an RN required; two or more years of experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Wound care certification preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Current BLS required. Physical Demands Stationary for extended periods of at least four hours. Viewing computer screen for extended periods of at least four hours. Keying on computer for at least four hours. Moving about. Requires close, distance and peripheral vision. Reading, communicating and writing. Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; with equipment up to 75 pounds. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping and touching with hands. Traveling distances by car, airplane, etc. Work Environment Normal office environment; primarily indoors.
