Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Travel, Nights)

Location

Birmingham, AL | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit throughout the night shift
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems, including Cerner/Fetalink
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for laboring patients and newborns
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective delivery outcomes
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and support delivery and postpartum care as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Cerner/Fetalink experience must be documented on resume
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or acute care Labor & Delivery setting
• Familiarity with travel nursing workflows and rapid onboarding processes
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills in obstetric situations
