Job Details Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois Position: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Float Registered Nurse Schedule: Nights, 12‑hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Illinois Registered Nurse (IL RN) license, PICU RN experience of at least 2 years, BLS, PALS, NRP; previous travel experience not required Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory, congenital heart disease, hematology/oncology, post‑operative, and trauma patient types; prior travel experience highly preferred but not mandatory Patient Care Responsibilities: Support patient admissions and discharges, assist with high‑touch cleaning, and provide direct patient care in a collaborative team setting Department Support: CNA assistance for room preparation, high‑touch cleaning, and patient care; available staff include receptionists, charge nurses, phlebotomists, IV team, resource nurses, and telemetry technicians; 24/7 staff such as RTs, hospitalists, and intensivists Technology and Equipment: EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing system, Med Sonic monitors Orientation: New hire orientation includes NEO training and two departmental days in PICU Attire: Navy scrubs, free parking Cross Country Job ID #1283019.
