Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Variable Scheduling | Weekend Availability Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Room setting within an acute care, critical access hospital environment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as needed to meet patient care demands
• Participate in on-call rotations and work a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective emergency care

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers and declinations not accepted)
• Permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
• Must be willing to work weekends and float within scope to meet facility needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience charting in Epic electronic health records system
• Experience in a Level IV Trauma or Critical Access Hospital setting
• Familiarity with variable and block scheduling in a travel nursing context
