Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including residential, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor patients' health by observing their physical and emotional well-being.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals while accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Provide medication reminders as per care plans and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness in residents' living areas and common spaces to promote a safe environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with dignity and respect.

Skills

• Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience in patient monitoring, particularly in nursing homes or assisted living environments.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
• Proficient in cooking nutritious meals that meet dietary needs.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan implementation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role
• First aid and CPR certified ***Can be obtained through our agency***
• Must have a negative TB Skin test
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Compassionate, respectful, ethical
• Reliable transportation
