Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector ensures that all parts and products meet strict quality standards by performing detailed inspections, interpreting blueprints, and accurately recording measurement data. This role supports continuous improvement by identifying quality issues, recommending resolutions, and maintaining thorough documentation to support first article inspections and ongoing production.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements.Perform detailed part inspections to verify that components meet engineering and quality standards.Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and accurately record all measurements and inspection results.Measure parts using a variety of hand tools and inspection equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy.Maintain product quality by identifying nonconformances and documenting inspection findings clearly and completely.Suggest practical resolutions to quality issues or concerns and support implementation of corrective actions.Apply quality control principles in an aerospace-related environment to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.Use Word and Excel to document inspection results, prepare reports, and maintain quality records.Communicate effectively with customers and team members to clarify requirements, discuss findings, and support quality objectives.Organize and prioritize inspection tasks to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.Handle and move parts and materials safely, including lifting items up to 50 lbs as needed.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of inspection experience, preferably in a quality control or aerospace environment.Hands-on experience with part inspection and first article inspections (FAI).Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Knowledge of tooling and inspection methods used in precision manufacturing.Strong quality control experience with a focus on accuracy and compliance.High school diploma or equivalent, required.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and recordkeeping.Strong organizational skills and effective time management.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs safely as part of daily duties.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious Q/A or inspector experience in a manufacturing or aerospace setting.Experience working with inspection hand tools and measurement equipment.Familiarity with documenting and maintaining FAI and quality records.Ability to contribute ideas for resolving quality issues and improving processes.Comfort working in a small-team environment where collaboration and flexibility are important.Why Work Here?You will join a small, close-knit team where your expertise and attention to detail have a direct impact on product quality and customer satisfaction. The workplace is climate controlled, providing a comfortable environment for detailed inspection work. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with minimal weekend work expected. The work involves regular use of inspection hand tools and computer applications such as Word and Excel, as well as handling and lifting parts up to 50 lbs in a production and quality control setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
